Everything was fine, including staff and food. It was a downtown area, a useful base for me. Apart from that, Rydal Water Lake was 15 minutes' drive away. Hotel was exceptionally clean.

The staff is delightful here, the services are good, and location is perfect just next door to the main village, Helm Crag and market since then. Warm, immaculate room with a shower, a comfortable bed, as for instance.

Have stayed here many times and would come here again. We liked it, the hotel was majestic and had nice staff and location. Found in the nice looking area. It was great to have aquarium in the reception.
